This is how very high cholesterol levels affect the human body within a very short time. When cholesterol is in excess in the body, it is stored just like any other material in the body. The main problem is that it is usually stored in the blood vessels. It poses even more danger when it is stored in the inner walls of the blood vessels. This is especially when the fatty streaks along the inner walls of the arteries are hardened by the cholesterol deposits thus making the arteries to become rigid. After the walls harden, they turn to plaque and build up resulting to problems such as heart attacks, atherosclerosis and stroke. This can easily cause death. The medication for this condition can be very expensive and the only cheaper alternative is to get tested regularly so as to mitigate the deposits by taking the laid down precautions. This is also cheaper when compared with all the other methods.
